报告摘要:

In this talk, I will discuss the theoretical studies of the magnetic and optical properties in zero dimension (molecule) and one dimension (chains). For molecules, we propose an optically driven spin-control mechanism based on the excited state and inter-system crossing, towards advancing high-temperature quantum computing. Moreover, we have studied a series of quasi-one-dimensional spin chains in organic and inorganic materials, which could provide a great platform for the studies of low-dimensional physics. Here I would also like to discuss the potential of organic co-crystal for the control of magnetic properties. Finally, I will discuss the optical properties of one-dimensional two-level-system chains by taking into account the locally excited (LE) state and the charge-transfer (CT) state. Our studies show that the interesting topological phase transition can arise from the interaction between the LE and CT states.
